How SHSAT Scoring Works

The 2026 adaptive test estimates performance using response pattern and item difficulty, scales each subtest, then adds the two scaled scores. Percent correct cannot reproduce the score.

The score scale

Current adaptive sources do not publish fixed score endpoints or a practice raw-to-scaled lookup. Interpret the section and composite values on your official report.

Add the two already scaled section values from one official report. A fixed bank accuracy percentage cannot reconstruct adaptive scaling.

Use the report and the current admissions context when choosing a goal. These arithmetic tools make no year-to-year comparability or admission claim.

Use your official score report

Score calculators need the scores from your official report. Your accuracy on practice questions can’t be turned into an official score.
