How HSPT Scoring Works

Closed HSPT reports independently equated subtest and composite scores. A composite cannot be reconstructed by averaging reported section scores.

The score scale

Standard scores 200–800; percentile ranks 1–99; stanines 1–9

Percentile is relative standing, not percent correct; identify national versus local comparison groups.

Cognitive and Basic Skills composites summarize different subtests. Optional tests are outside the battery composite.

Use your official score report

Score calculators need the scores from your official report. Your accuracy on practice questions can’t be turned into an official score.
